The "ANSWER" & Summer Fun!!!

.........you may want to turn the music OFF at the bottom of this page before watching this video......

Are THEY still here?????!!!

Seriously people, didn't I tell you that dreadlocks are way more work than they are worth?!  These are the crazy things the kids and I see on a daily basis!!  I gotta give it to my husband though, he really knows how to buy himself some time.  So, with that said, this is the latest!  Apparently, Scott has decided that it would be FUN to make a fundraiser out of cutting his dreads off.  AND, are you ready for this........all funds raised will be donated to our local Ds support group, 21FrienDS.  Isn't he a "sly" one??!!  lol  Now how can I compete with those sweet little angels??!!!  So, I will grant him a pass on this one.  Boy does he owe me big time!!  I have to tell you, Scott wasn't exactly "THRILLED" that I posted this video.......let's just call it PAYBACK.......can I get a WOOT WOOT!!!!!!

OK, enough about the DREADS, and more about that cute little munchkin in the video!!  As you can see, Landon took his first summer dip in the BIG pool, and he LOVED it!  Hey, Lisa (Landon's PT, Water Therapy), did you see those little legs go??!!  Something tells me the trick is that Daddy needs to be in the pool!  Or maybe Landon was trying to get away from that crazy looking guy holding him!  I'LL.LET.YOU.DECIDE!!!!!

So, this past weekend was a hot one for us here in Massachusetts.  And the boys kept cool swimming in the pool!  What a great way to kick off summer vacation:)  We also got Landon his own pool.....and he couldn't have been more happy.  Getting him out was not an easy thing to do.  So I had to refer to rule #20:  when your skin shrivels up like a little prune, you MUST exit the pool until your skin goes back to being as soft as your cute little baby bottom!!!!!

HAPPY SUMMER!!!!!!

And THIS little boy............

........is officially a KINDERGARTNER!!!!

Yesterday, we went to our local ZOO for our city's day of celebration, "Smooth Sailing Into Kindergarten", in honor of all the little kiddos heading to "BIG BOY/GIRL" School!!  The guests of honor, and their families, are treated to a fun day of musical entertainment, arts & crafts, lunch, admission to the zoo and a great opportunity to get to meet other children who may be heading to the same school this September.  A great day to celebrate all that they have learned in preparation of kindergarten.  After all, learning the ABC's, identifying shapes, colors and numbers AND being able to write your whole name is REALLY.HARD.WORK.  Another wonderful milestone definitely worth celebrating!

Here are a few pics of the day!  Unfortunately, Landon was unable to accompany us as he had a date with his OT!!

(Elijah running around to the music!  Oh the energy this boy has, if I only had a 1/4 of it!! lol:)

(Big brother Mason, giving Elijah a pep talk and letting him know that he will be there to show him the ropes!)

(Mason introducing Elijah to a couple of his friends....it's always nice to know the upper.class.men!)

(And finally, some pizza for lunch, to help refuel all that ENERGY!!)

I must confess, we did not stay as long as I had anticipated!!  Elijah was sure to point out that seeing it was HIS day, he got to call all the shots for the day.  So off we went, back home, to play the Wii!!!

Gotta love this kid!!!

And this little munchkin was waiting to hear all about Elijah's big day!

And by the look on his face, I would have to say,  that he was quite IMPRESSED!!

Elijah is so "SUPER" excited about heading to kindergarten this fall.  I just hope his energy level drops a bit.  Lord knows, I can't keep up with him, and by the looks of it..............neither can Landon!!

Last Day of School & Dinosaurs????

Yesterday, found me another memory to add to my "memory box".  I am officially the mom of a 3rd grader!!  Wow, another bittersweet moment, involving my first born, you know, the one that you will experience MOST firsts with.  I worked 1/2 a day so that I could pick him up from school and spend some time, with JUST him!!  That does not happen quite as often as it probably should.

Pulling in to his schools parking lot, walking towards me from the building, he was waving his report card with the biggest smile on his face saying that he was officially a 3rd grader......and that meant that "I" am officially old!  Ha!.....gotta love that sense of humor.  I of course had to go back a chapter in the book of "How to Raise Boys", to remind him of the lesson that you never say the word old when having a conversation with a woman.......especially, your mother!  After all, she will be one of the "first" women to tell his future girlfriend/wife all the silly and embarrassing things about his childhood.

I'll add that point to my scoreboard...thank.you.very.much!!!

So our day went something like this............

This boy......

is officially a 3rd grader.........

So we celebrated with lunch, outside, at a local restaurant......

To celebrate the end of another school year, and the fact that our children find us to be sooooo old, we thought we would teach them one more lesson regarding the definition of old and extinct.  So we went....."Walking With Dinosaurs"!!!!

If you are not familiar with this show, click the link above and take a peek, AMAZING!  You can always check, Ticketmaster.com, to see if and when they will be in your area.  A must see for those of you with young children.  Here's just a small peek at what we saw!!

The boys (as well as parents) enjoyed this SPECTACULAR show!!

BTW, today, is Scott's 40th Birthday!  I am taking Scott to Foxwoods Casino for dinner, a show and some gambling.  AND, we will be staying overnight!!  Yikes!  This will be our first night away from the 3 boys since Landon was born.  I must confess, I.AM.A.WRECK.!!  But, I know that this is good for both Scott and I and the kids!!  Hmmm, the fact that a surprise "couples massage" is what we have in store for us tomorrow morning, isn't such a bad thing either!  We will return home tomorrow afternoon to celebrate with a small family cookout (along with some Poker)!!  Ya think there's a theme here or what??!!

I will post some pictures within the next couple of days regarding Scott's Birthday, to see if "MY WISH" has come true!!  As of this morning, THEY were still here!!

Keep your fingers crossed!!!  Until then...............I will leave you with a cute picture of Landon and a "NEW" favorite thing he likes to do!!

Father's Day 2010

Father's Day found us the perfect little place to lay out our blanket, relax and soak up the summer sun.

Scott opened his presents (that the boys made for him at school) and sat back and enjoyed some entertainment!

Mason and Elijah ran around and played at the playground.  And I, ran around and took pictures of the day........ok,  I know, it was Father's Day and all!!!

When Landon was through entertaining his daddy, it was time for Landon to join his brothers for some fun on the swings (one of his favorite things to do)!

                                                                   (Look, matching tongues!!)

Rest and relaxation was the wish for the day......and so his wish was granted!!

The perfect ending to a perfect day....ahhh, my boys!!
Happy Father's Day!!

Speaking of wishes...........(remember this post).........

There are only 3 more days until Scott's 40th Birthday.......and.THEY.are.still.here!

Hmmm, I wonder if my wish will FINALLY be granted too??!!

AN ARTIST.......

..........PERHAPS!!

When I picked Landon up from daycare today, I was presented with Landon's very FIRST piece of artwork.  And I was informed by his teacher, that Landon did this ALL BY HIMSELF :)

*SIGH*

Sure makes this mama proud:)
