One day about a week ago, Scott was holding Landon and stood him up on the floor and "told" him to go for a walk......and guess what? HE DID!! He took 4 quick steps and sat down just as quickly! On occasion now, if you tell Landon to go for a walk, he will stand up (in the middle of the floor), get his balance, and take 2 quick steps. It's done at lightning speed, not sure if the camera was in my hand, that I would still be able to capture it. The joke in our house, is Landon is good for 1 a day! I am not one to be defeated so easily..........I will catch it, and I promise I will share!! Words cannot describe the feelings of having a front row seat to this HUGE milestone..........but something tells me, a lot of you already know! It's bittersweet...........just knowing how hard Landon has worked to reach it!! There was a time when I wondered if he would be walking by his second birthday.........POSSIBLY!! But even if he doesn't, he is taking steps in the right direction!! I could not be more proud of my baby boy!!
I am so excited to see what 2011 will bring!
I thought I would also share a few photos of the boys who begged to stay up until midnight!
This little munchkin was sleeping by 8:30pm, now that's a late night for him!!
This little boy (Elijah) fought to stay awake (and almost made it), was snoring by 11:45pm! lol
And my true night owl (Mason), keeping his energy up with the Wii! (He literally played until 2 minutes before midnight.)
A quick toast of eggnog, and off to bed we went!

That is GREAT!!!! I can't wait to see it captured on film!!! Landon is like Sweet Pea and does things only when he wants to and defies attempts to make him do otherwise. These kiddos are smart!

I think my boys made it longer than me last night. I was in bed, and heard the fireworks. But i think the boys were still playing video games. I guess I'm getting old. Happy Nee Years!!

ReplyDeleteI cannot believe how many of our little guys are on the verge of walking!It is so exciting to see.And when I say our,I unfortunately don't mean my littlest love ... walking is a a long way off for her,God willing she will one day,until then I will rejoice with you all as your babies hit this amazing milestone!
